A Native Plant is a plant that has occurred naturally in a particular region, ecosystem, or habitat without human introduction.
Native plants are unique because they provide food and shelter for native wildlife. Incorporating so many non-native plants into our landscapes has caused a sharp decline in pollinators and wildlife species, because of habitat destruction, and a lack of food.
