What is Reiki?
Have you ever been to a church and went up front for someone to pray over you? This person would probably place their hands on your shoulders or hold your hands or touch you with their hands on your head, or arms. This is called ‘laying on of hands.’ Sometimes their hands get warm and/or their palms will turn red. I used to do this type of praying back in the 80’s and 90’s. I would connect with God (Source) and the healing energy would flow through me to the person I was praying over.
So… What is Reiki?
Reiki is universally guided spiritual life energy. It is tapping into a higher power (Source) and the unseen forces for healing purposes. Reiki flows through the practitioner, invoked from the “Source,” acting as a receptor of the energy. It makes use of sacred symbols to help guide it in a specific direction. There is a symbol for physical, a symbol for emotional, and a symbol for connecting to the Power.
