I am Tina Esham, co-owner of the Esham Family Farm, where I offer classes in Yoga combined with heart-warming, fun, and curious baby goats, to create a unique wellness experience for the mind, body, and soul. Our classes are taught by yoga instructors who offer a practice that flows with our unique environment. We offer classes for the beginner, intermediate, and advanced yoga levels because each session is customized to your experience. What makes our baby goat yoga experience unique is that while you focus on your stretches, poses, and breaths, our friendly goats roam, nudge, asked to be cuddled, and might even want to use your back as a platform to give you a massage while you move through the poses.
Why goats combined with yoga? As a family farm we have been blessed with newborn goats for over 12 years. Adding yoga to the healing that the animals can bring, makes the experience that much more amazing. The combination of a person who knows or is willing to learn about energy management through a practice like yoga and a prey animal like a goat is magical because of the trust that is achieved by being present with goats. As an instructor, goat yoga assistant, and owner I have watched many people start a healing journey in a single one hour baby goat yoga class. People, who have never had experience with an animal before, open their hearts to love an animal. It is amazing to witness the stress of the day just melt away, which not only allows an increase in wellness, but contagiously prompts smiles and laughter. Our yoga classes are also unique because we offer as much yoga or goat cuddling as you wish in our hour classes.
At our Farm Market and Goat Yoga Studio we also offer handcrafted clean-burning soy wax jar candles, scented soy wax melts, and handmade soaps/lotions with our own goats’ milk. We also raise naturally grown fruits and vegetables for our local farmer’s market and CSA program.
